Louis Vuitton

One of the things I miss most about being in the Bay Area is chilling outside at random spots and just choppin' it up. When I'm in Irvine, I always feel confined to an apartment or building, and never really exploring outside. I love going on adventures and being spontaneous.

Angkor Grill -- Cambodian Bistro

One of my really good friends' family opened up a Cambodian restaurant in my town recently. I've been there before when it first opened but a lot of our friends still haven't had a chance to try it due to our schedules. They also have sister restaurants in Oakland called Phnom Penh House in Chinatown and  the Laurel District, so we were familiar with the food.

When I came back home from school not too long ago, we decided to grab lunch there. It's called Angkor Grill and is located on Park Street in Alameda, California. We ate family style, sharing the main plates with rice on the side. I forgot what we ordered but it was all very delicious! We had a good variety of seafood, beef, and even tofu. For dessert, we all shared the Deep Fried Banana with Pineapple Ice Cream. I'm very lucky to have a friend with a family that knows how to cook :)

Arzo's 21st Birthday

One of the things I love doing is making my friends' birthday as enjoyable as possible by doing something unique. With that said, I took my buddy Arzo to Harris' Restaurant in San Francisco for her 21st! As a self-proclaimed food connoisseur of sorts, I thoroughly enjoyed the classy ambiance and the food was prepared well. I had the Foie Gras, which was really rich and had excellent flavor. For my entree, I had the Petite Filet Mignon paired with Champagne. It could have been better cooked but the scalloped potatoes definitely made up for it. For Dessert, we had Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream with a candle for her birthday celebration. We also ordered the Apple Galette paired with Apple Martinis, which was really good! Overall, it was  a good night.
